Route 66 Casino, 360 Bar

New bar area design and implementation - Albuquerque, NM

By emulating the swirling pattern of a nautilus shell in specialty metal multi-layered columns, combined with a faceted beaded curtain with programmable color changing LED lighting, I-5 Design was able to create a whole new look for this casino lounge and bar. One of the clients goals was to create a comfortable, inviting place for visitors to sit down and relax while still being in the center of the action. The finished product included imet specialty columns, color changing LED lighting effects, custom pendant luminaires, aluminum shimmer screens and more.

Building on the Route 66 'journey' theme, the 360 Bar was designed to symbolize the end of the journey with a stylized Pacific Ocean theme. The custom ceiling structure in the bar was designed to emulate a swirling nautilus shell, radiating outward toward the main entry with fully programmable, color changing LEDs concealed around the center of the Nautilus, producing an ever changing lighting show and a unforgettable experience.
Encompassing the perimeter of the circular bar structure is a multi-faceted shimmering metal beaded curtain that is down-lit with color-changing LED lighting to create a visually inspiring oasis.
Integrated into the overall space, custom décor elements such as the decorative routed screens with nautilus shell scroll work, and specialty red and gold textured metal column covers further developed the ocean theme.
The suspended ceiling beam structure in the 360 bar was designed to characterize a seashell, radiating outward from the center in a swirling, nautilus pattern. Another feature that played on the nautilus décor theme, as well as added intense colors of red and gold was the custom metal column covers with an integrated waveform texture.
