BUFFALO THUNDER
Resort and Casino Design
Santa Fe, New Mexico
I-5 Design and Manufacture was asked to design and create a custom signage and casino design plan for both interior and exterior that integrated elements of the Pojoaque culture with the Pueblo-style architecture of this 700,000 square foot facility. The main signs in the casino have a similar look and style but are differentiated by color. As part of the casino design, green LEDs were used to designate the cashier areas, blue for the players club, and red for the gift shop. Very unique identities were created for their six restaurants and I-5 Design and Manufacture worked closely with Governor Rivera and the construction management team to design and develop a beautiful and effective way finding system, that incorporated large ceiling mounted directional signs through the casino and resort as well as matching restroom, ATM, and casino service signs.
For the exterior signs, I-5 Design and Manufacture took cues from the exterior architecture casino design and developed a tapered panel sign that mimics the main tower in the front of the casino, flows very naturally with the landscaping, and at the same time effectively directs customers through the resort. I-5 Design and Manufacture production and installation crews worked closely with the project management team and Balfour Beatty construction to insure a well coordinated installation that was completed ahead of schedule. The ability to listen to the customer and transform their dream into beautifully designed signage and casino décor combined with our state of the art manufacturing and capabilities insured an outcome that was to our customer’s satisfaction.
