360 Bar | Route 66 | Albuquerque, New Mexico
Building on the property's Route 66 theme of a "journey," the client hoped to create a comfortable, inviting casino bar venue for visitors to relax while still being in the center of the action.
Design and finished product highlights
The I-5 Design team picked up on the theme of a trip via highway, and created a bar design that symbolized the end of the original Route 66, which was the Pacific Ocean in California. This stylized sea motif completely altered and revitalized the entire bar area, and was carried out in a number of features, including:
• A huge custom ceiling structure designed to emulate a spiraling nautilus shell, radiating outward toward the main
• Fully programmable, color-changing LEDs concealed around the center of the nautilus, which produce an
unforgettable, ever-changing light show
• Multi-layered, specialty metal columns which again reproduce the spiral nautilus pattern, combined with a faceted
beaded curtain with programmable color-changing LED lighting
• In addition to the above features, the finished venue showcases custom pendant luminaires, aluminum shimmer
screens, and other striking elements, which together create a truly extraordinary experience.
Production and implementation
I-5 brought all departments together to create a seamless bar design and implementation plan. All décor elements were pre-fabricated and manufactured in-house, then installed on-site.
I-5's theme and bar design brought the client's vision to life, creating a stunning focal point and guest destination within the casino.
