From the moment you enter the store, you know that this is going to be a different grocery-shopping experience. I-5 Design worked with Metropolitan Market to design interior grocery store signs and décor elements to help create a sleek, uplifting experience for each customer. Every sign element, from the custom department signage above the world class cheese counter, to the aisle gondola signage, to the elaborately designed changeable chalkboards, to the checkout signage, gives customers a unique shopping experience that keeps them coming back again and again.

The grocery store signs for this project included both exterior & interior logos and lettering. The exterior signs consisted of halo lit channel letters on the building and monument signs for street side identification.

From the beginning days in 1971 the owner’s goal has always been to be “the area's leading progressive, independent grocer - to always be the first to bring you the best.” I-5 Design has helped them realize that dream. Over the years as the grocery store continued to expand and purchase more stores I-5 Design has helped to customize the grocery store signs and décor elements for each of Metropolitan’s locations in the Pacific Northwest. Today, more than 35 years later, Metropolitan Market has become an award-winning store with multiple locations throughout Seattle and Tacoma.
