IFor this natural foods co-op I-5 Design created a new branding package, for both the interior and exterior design. I-5’s original logo design was then translated into the proper format for the exterior signs as well as integrated into elements of the interior design. Grocery store design elements for this natural food co-op included architectural metal valances, an arched entry to the demonstration kitchen; suspended grids over produce and check stand areas, custom artwork murals, and dimensional lettering specifying each product department. The warm, inviting color palette used throughout the décor and signage for the market helped to create the ambience the customer wanted. The goal was not to create another large, impersonal, generic supermarket, but rather to create a cooperative market, committed to contributing to the strength of the people of this local community. I-5 Design was able to incorporate some of the local community design elements and landmarks into the décor elements and large format wall murals.

I-5 also designed exterior signage for this natural foods grocery store. The exterior signs used the same warm color scheme as the interior décor elements, thus providing a continuous flow and shopping experience for each customer. I-5’s natural foods market design was implemented at this location in Northern California.
