Ignite Lounge Sign Design | MGM Monte Carlo | Las Vegas, Nevada

Objectives

Located within the MGM Monte Carlo, the new Ignite Lounge needed custom signage — I-5 was contracted to design and create graphic identification that would draw patrons into the lounge and convey the “inferno of excitement” found within.

Design and finished product highlights

I-5’s casino design team kindled a stunning sign design that embodied the crackling energy of a blazing fire. Utilizing the latest in visual display technology, each sign became a brilliantly radiating advertisement for Ignite. Key signage features included:

• Multi-layered translucent tubes to imbue the sense of smoldering embers and leaping flames

• Dimensional logo components, lending depth and impact

• Premium high gloss finishes for maximum reflective capacity

• Internally illuminated elements cast an inviting glow that could be seen from around the casino

Production and implementation

I-5’s one-stop advantage of providing design, fabrication, and implementation ensured that the casino design intent for Ignite’s distinctive signage was seamlessly carried through installation.

Outcome

Ignite Lounge is now a centerpiece venue of the Monte Carlo Casino. Open 24 hours a day, its distinctive signage is visible throughout the property, inviting patrons to experience its fiery atmosphere.

Royal Lounge | Opus Casino | New York

Objectives

As part of the complete lounge redesign of Royal Casino, I-5 Design and Manufacture was asked to re-conceptualize the casino’s bar and lounge area.

Design highlights

An undersea fantasy world was conjured in I-5’s theming plan for the Royal Casino Lounge. Flowing, swirling ribbons of color and a coordinated, complementary décor scheme brought the setting together in an appealing space, allowing patrons to step away from gaming but still feel part of the action. Lounge design elements included:

• Rich, deep hues and textures throughout, enveloping guests

• Custom ceiling and wall elements, which engender a sense of gentle, wave-like movement

• A custom carpet design, reflecting the colors and patterns of the overall décor

• Custom lighting fixtures that provide both warm illumination and overhead interest

Outcome

The design for the Royal Casino Lounge was warm while utilizing many exciting décor elements. I-5 provided the Royal Casino Lounge with a conceptual lounge design idea that transformed their idea into a 3D reality.

First Federal Bank Design | Pacific Northwest

Objectives

First Federal Bank requested a bank design and rebranding package from I-5 Design, including a new logo design to be integrated into signage and décor.

Design and finished product highlights

I-5’s design solution included an engaging signature logo mark, new color scheme, appealing visual theme and other signage elements, including

• High-impact custom exterior signage

• Complementary directional sign design

Production and implementation

All elements of the rebranding effort, including exterior signage, were designed, fabricated, and implemented by I-5 teams, ensuring continuity of design intent throughout.

Outcome

First Federal’s goal of a new brand and graphic identification was accomplished by I-5’s bold yet friendly combination of logo and lettering treatment, consistent across all signage applications.

Central Market | Shoreline, Washington

Objectives

For Central Market, the goal was to update and enhance the personality of their signage and décor, inside and out, to match their overall store mission of promoting deliciously fresh food, good nutrition, and a commitment to wellness.

Design and finished product highlights

Throughout the store’s exterior and interior, bold signage identified the market’s key departments, while additional accents imparted a welcoming message of health and wellness through fresh, natural foods for the entire family. Key elements included:

• Exterior signage design which incorporated the store’s existing iconic silo—the symbol of connecting people to the source of their food

• Channel letters using impactful neon embellishment

• Interior signage, including aisle markers

• Wall valances and décor conveying key brand messaging and Central Market’s tagline of “Celebration Fresh!”

Production and implementation

I-5 provided design, manufacturing and implementation of all signage, ensuring streamlined installation schedules, minimal interruption of business and continuity of design intent.

Outcome

Central Market’s owners felt that the new signage and décor elements designed and implemented by I-5 perfectly communicated the store’s dedication to the role of fresh, wholesome food in sustaining today’s families.

Heritage Bank | Pacific Northwest

Objectives

Heritage Bank asked I-5 for design concepts that would address branch upgrades, interior décor and, overall signage and identity.

Bank Design and finished product highlights

Taking into account the various identification elements of the bank’s exterior signage as well as interior décor and imagery, I-5 created a cohesive design theme communicating strength, accessibility, and a sense of heritage and place. Design features included:

• Custom exterior signage design package

• Pylon sign with electronic message board

• Awnings

• Interior décor

• Custom wall murals and images reflecting the region and its landscape

Production and implementation

Design, fabrication and installation of all elements were handled in-house through I-5’s state-of-the-art facilities and implementation teams.

Outcome

Heritage Bank is able to project a solid image of soundness and professionalism in banking and financial services, through a combination of graphic signage elements and interior décor features.

Marketime Foods | Renton, Washington

Objectives

I-5 Design was asked to create a supermarket design plan for Marketime Foods’ exterior facade and signage.

Design and finished product highlights

By adding contemporary elements to the existing storefront, I-5 was able to give Marketime an updated feel, while preserving original features that were neighborhood landmarks—such as the familiar store-top sign that boasts an operational clock. New exterior additions included:

• Highly visible channel letters flanking the storefront

• A new marquee pylon sign with updated graphics and brick facing

• Hanging banners with rich imagery of fresh produce

• Decorative valances also featuring colorful produce imagery

Production and implementation

All elements of Marketime’s exterior updgrading project were designed, fabricated and implemented by I-5 teams, with a streamlined installation process that kept the store open throughout renovation.

Outcome

Marketime was able to retain their “neighborhood store” character, while simultaneously presenting a fresh new face to customers and the community.

Oaklawn Jockey Club | Hot Springs, Arkansas

Objectives

New, visually compelling exterior and interior signage was a top priority for Oaklawn Jockey Club and Casino. I-5 was charged with creating and implementing a signature building identification plan.

Design and finished product highlights

I-5’s exterior design and sign design package included custom lights, interior signage, and custom designed exterior building signage.

For the exterior frontage, a completely programmable, specialty LED lighting display was utilized on the exterior fascia, turning the facility’s marquee sign into a stunning lighted billboard. Besides its ability to create thousands of colors, the programmable system is also able to play video and animation. The striking display has attracted significant attention—not only from local residents and passersby, but also from the Hot Springs newspaper, which featured the facility’s new signage.

Production and implementation

Each custom component was fabricated by I-5 and shipped to the site. With a detailed and well thought out plan the implantation of the design plan was seamless and impressive.

Outcome

“People are just out there staring at the sign, it is just absolutely perfect. It makes a world of difference on that front. I just don’t know how you could have done it any better; the colors match so well, the size and everything. It is very exciting, I sure appreciate it.”

For this project our designer team created conceptual sketches of the overall look and layout of the store. The design included different concept ideas ranging from, dimensional interior signage, an overhead wood beam structure, as well as the initial store floorplan.
