I-5 recently built and installed new exterior signage for the Red Wind Casino in Olympia, Washington. The approximately 15′ tall signs were built with I-5’s custom UltraBrite halo illumination to provide the best day/night visibility. All of the individual letters were cut on specialty computer controlled letter cutting equipment to ensure perfect logo reproduction. The letters were finished in acrylic polyurethane applied in a temperature controlled spray booth and cured in a bake oven for the best look and durability. The signage was assembled and pre-wired in I-5’s facility which allowed for expedited onsite installation with minimized building penetrations. The new signs complete the exterior look for the casino.

Buffalo Thunder has contracted with I-5 design for a second project this year. The casino wanted to re-brand and renovate the existing Mica Restaurant & Lobby into the Iguana Cafe & Catina. I-5 created conceptual cafe design drawings that showed ideas to change the décor and overall feel into a fun Mexican Cantina environment. A new layout was also provided, which allows guests at the hotel to get a coffee and ‘grab and go’ breakfast along with their morning paper. The entire space was re-designed with a new color palette and decor treatments to maximize the visual impact, and is now in the manufacture phase of the project.
Check back for more updates on the progress of this project and an inside look into I-5’s manufacture facility. Visit the Shadeh Nightlife portfolio to the see other Buffalo Thunder project I-5 completed this year.

In May of this year, I-5 remodeled the Ho-Chunk Grill. The existing space was typical stark white walls and dated neon signs, not an inviting atmosphere for diners. I-5 provided Ho-Chunk Casino with a custom designed decor package for the Grill that introduced medium wood applications, architectural stone, other unique textures and warm amber lighting in the custom chandeliers and new signage.
The restaurant design decor package was built and pre-fabricated off-site at I-5′s facility in Lacey, Washington. Watch this video of the 16 day on-site remodel and installation and the amazing transformation that happened. Ho-Chunk Grill Design & Remodel in 16 Days
