Siletz Bay Buffet

Lincoln City, Oregon

Project Objectives

Chinook Winds Casino wanted to completely update their Siletz Bay Buffet from an aging and unimpressive food and beverage outlet into a signature showpiece for the resort. In addition, the overall seating layout, entry point, and buffet line were to be upgraded to provide a more effective and appealing venue.

Design & Planning

I-5 created a complete makeover for the casino restaurant design including distinct separation of spaces, custom décor elements, and a reinvigorated atmosphere to create an upscale destination within the casino.

A neutral color scheme and organic material were infused throughout the casino design, adding warmth that complemented the natural setting of the Pacific Northwest.

Some of the elements created for the buffet included a decorative curving half-wall that sets the buffet apart from the casino floor, tapered wood columns inset with specialty metal accent panels dividing the architectural stone walls, and vibrant LED accent lighting concealed in the decorative ceiling beams which radiate from the center of the space and extend over the walkway directly outside the buffet. One of the décor highlights of the buffet is a multi-tiered circular element suspended over the hostess counter featuring a custom mica chandelier set in the circle’s center.

Build & Install

The complete décor package was pre-fabricated in-house by I-5 Design to ensure the highest quality and allow for a streamlined, efficient implementation.

All the key decor elements, including the curved half-wall, oval sign, circular suspended décor element with mica chandelier, and other décor pieces were manufactured in-house by I-5 Design to ensure high quality and complete design intent throughout the project.

Arriving on-site, the pre-fabricated décor elements  made it possible for the I-5 installation team to execute a quick, seamless implementation. To enable opening of the buffet as soon as possible, I-5 coordinated with the casino’s time schedule to complete the renovation.

Finished Project

The entire remodel was completed in only 6 weeks onsite with no downtime to casino operations.

The complete casino restaurant design was implemented without any downtime to the casino.

We enjoyed working with I-5 Design and would recommend them to anyone for design, manufacture and implementation services. We never had to close down or lose business while I-5 was installing our décor. The finished project exceeded our expectations and we are very happy with the results.”
