This design is very unique and utilizes as many existing elements as possible for a simple yet extremely effective and dramatic upgrade. Residing in Connecticut, this quaint ice cream parlor, Sunny Daes, offers a place for family and friends to enjoy a delicious treat. However, this venue was very outdated in theme and was in dire need of a high-impact upgrade with minimal structural changes to the existing space.
Design & Planning
Building from a fun color palette of bubblegum pink, pistachio teal, creamy yellow and chrome, we created a new design plan for Sunny Daes that would provide an inviting and comfortable environment for customers while establishing a modern, energetic look!
By using a custom designed specialty-etched metal on the valance and counter facing, the small venue bursts with lively color and unique texture. Dressing up the existing white ice-cream cases, we designed a multi-colored bubble graphic bringing another playful component to the venue. The silver wall behind the service counter sets this area apart from the creamy yellow dining area, and showcases new menu boards. As a finishing touch we dropped color-changing globes at differing heights along the windows adding a warm glimmer and inviting look from the outside.
