Iconic Casino Design

Project Objectives

Established in 1980, this casino asked I-5 Design to create an upscale casino design that would capture the classic style of New Orleans' iconic French Quarter. Featuring a casino design unlike any other in I-5's diverse portfolio, the concept for the café showcases the team's versatility and creativity in fulfilling specific client requests and creating truly unique, one-of-a-kind destinations.

Design & Planning

An architectural theme can give a venue personality, visibility, and cachet, and few I-5 design plans embody that truism more than the concept for this casino. Incorporating the hallmarks of authentic French Quarter building styles, the I-5 team's plan recreated a stroll down New Orleans' most famed street, recreated in the heart of Sparks, Nevada.

The color scheme features dusty blues, greens, oranges, and purples.  There is a custom-designed window mural with dimensional shutter and cast iron railings.  Natural elements are included such as hanging planters and trees, along with lampposts and vintage signage, to create an authentic street-style walkway throughout the venue.  Storefronts and designs for food venues within the facility, including the Casino and Café (with ‘sidewalk’ seating) and the Mardi Gras Pizzeria, create a vibrant, party-atmosphere gathering place.
